When Mia Coveny moved to Los Angeles in 2002 with her aspiring television writer husband, John, her immediate plans were to renovate their newly purchased 1930s-era Spanish-style home while selling period furnishings on the side. As John got his early writing career going, Mia focused on renovating four successive Spanish-style homes for sale within a five-year span. The market was booming, and she loved the challenge. She found that detail made those homes special, and her visual sense helped attract buyers. Those homes sold quickly and for top dollar.

The Covenys currently reside in their fifth renovated home, a Spanish-style home nestled in the hills of Los Feliz. Her own renovations led to referrals for renovation and interior design work. Mia's clients have been writers, actors and producers, busy, creative people looking to enhance the way they live.

Mia's passion for homes led her to become a Realtor. She sees potential where others may not. She brings knowledge, integrity, follow-through, creativity and a sense of humor to her interactions with clients.

Mia and her husband lived in Chicago for 13 years, where they renovated their first fixer, a circa-1874 Chicago landmark. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a BA in English literature and a minor in Art History.

Mia enjoys hiking and playing tennis in Griffith Park. She and John have a beloved English bulldog, Matilda, who holds the distinction of being one of the Dog Whisperer's toughest cases. She volunteers with the Connect Program in West Hollywood, which pairs elderly members of the community in meaningful friendships. Mia can be found many an early Sunday morning at one of Southern California's swap meets, hoping to snag an amazing light fixture or score a gorgeous bauble.
